1. Who can enter:
Anyone who is 18 years old (on March 1st 2011) and over and lives in Coventry may enter the competition. Living in Coventry is understood as meaning in any of the boroughs that are under the jurisdiction of Coventry City Council.
2. Parent/guardian’s permission
If you are under 18 you are not allowed to enter this contest. Any family member who is 18 and over(on March 1st 2011) is allowed to take part in this competition.
3. How to enter
Competitors will take an original photo that must include a FairTrade chocolate. The FairTrade logo must be visible. The photo will be attached in an e-mail, toghether with contact details. The e-mail adress is y4ft.coventry@gmail.com. Contact details MUST be accurate and include: Full name, full adress and phone number. It is the competitors decision if they want to include a description of the photography, although this is not a requirement.
All photos must be original own work of the competitor. If any plagiarism or malpractice is found, entries will be disqualified.
4. How it will be judged
A representative from the Herbert Art Gallery will judge the photo submitted, and their decision is final.
Key dates:
6th March 2011 – Deadline (time to be confirmed)
10th March 2011 – Judging by Herbert Gallery representative
11 th March 2011– Prize awarding ceremony
5. Copyright/rights to publish and distribute
The right is reserved to use the photography in any exhibition or publication as well as on associated websites, and the Youth for Fair Trade and competition website, and copyright approval shall be deemed to have been given.
6. Prizes
The first prize will be offered of £200 in vouchers.
The second prize will be offered of £100 in vouchers.
The third prize will be offered of £50 in vouchers.
There is no cash alternative.
